Earlier this week, the Energy Information Administration (EIA) announced U.S. liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports hit record volumes in October and November. Texas is currently home to 2 of the country’s 6 LNG export terminals with additional facilities proposed.
These record number run contrary to environmentalists who consistently claim there is no market for LNG. Just earlier this week, Sierra Club offshoot Save RGV From LNG claimed there are “no real customers” for LNG.
Despite the EIA data proving them wrong, environmentalists are likely to continue to cling to the talking point as they have refused to back down from other debunked claims.
