At a protest event in Brownsville this weekend, Texas environmental leader Juan Mancias – who hoped for and later celebrated the destruction caused by Hurricane Harvey – continued his disregard for decency. While addressing his supporters, Mancias lowered himself to making racial attacks against those opposing his extremist environmental agenda:

“You know what, it’s not just a white thing anymore, because we got a lot of little coconuts and a lot of apples out there that are doing the same thing, telling us who we are and those kind of people need to get an education too. Just because they have college educations doesn’t mean that you know what’s going on.”

Per UrbanDictionary.com, the term used by Mancias means:

“Coconut; n. a person who is tan on the outside (Mexican, Indian, Philipino) and white on the inside”

Mancias, who is openly considering a campaign for Congress, later went on to attack the American Dream. He called the concept of it “foolishness,” stating:

“But the thing is, we have to let go. A lot of the foolishness and a lot of the lies that they’ve said and made them truths, they’ve made them facts – a bunch of myths, everything is based on myth. The American Dream, based on a myth. Not every one of us in here are going to be the great baseball player or the next Captain America, believe me.”
