A Texas environmental leader is now openly questioning the integrity of the Lone Star State. In a recent Facebook post, Big Bend Defense Coalition organizer Mark Glover said he believed the integrity of oil states such as Texas was inferior to that of “third world” counties:
“Someone said ‘Its like a third world country.’ Well, having lived in a few, I’d say there’s more integrity there than in our oil states. A billion cash isn’t enough? You just want to keep on destroying because you don’t know what else to do with your sad unconscious life…”
While activists like Glover question Texas’ integrity, the Lone Star state has seen a decrease in methane emissions in the Permian Basin while simultaneously helping the United States become the world’s largest producer of natural gas and crude oil.
